A 0 star hotel (Hotel Null Stern) has opened at a gas station in Switzerland. “The only star is you,” is the motto of this unique outdoor hotel.
The 0 star hotel is an initiative of the Frank Patrick Ricklin brothers and Hotel Daniel Charbonnier. It may seem basic, but you pay the equivalent of 324 euros per night. This includes a welcome drink with local organic snacks, breakfast pastries from a local bakery with fresh fruit juice from the region, and modern butler service. In case of bad weather, you can transfer to the Hôtel des Bains de Saillon.
Hotel 0 Star Gas Station in Switzerland
The hotel is located outdoors next to Mr. Stéphane Bertholet Garage in Saillon, a medieval fortified town in Switzerland. A gas station that belongs to the garage and now also a 0 star hotel.
“Anti Poetry Pavilion is located on the side of a major road. Rather than a place to rest, we want to keep you awake and provide a place to reflect on current issues such as climate, economy, security or equality. Individuals, businesses, schools and associations are welcome to use this space to exchange, brainstorm or get ideas .”
Not the only outdoor hotel
The organization behind the 0 star hotel is the Null Stern Hotel. And the outdoor suite at the gas station isn’t the hotel’s only outdoor room. You can also sleep in such a room in different places in the mountains of Switzerland. But with peace around you.
More information about a 0 star hotel can be found on this website. There are still quite a few rooms available. Not entirely surprising especially in the room next to the gas station.
