Students participating in Enactus STU recently joined the Enactus Canada delegation at the 2023 Enactus World Cup in the Netherlands.
Enactus Canada, which has campuses at universities across the country, encourages students to join the Canadian delegation to learn about different Enactus entrepreneurial projects around the world, participate in events related to the Sustainable Development Goals, and make lasting connections.
Chloe York, Enactus STU president and fourth-year international relations student, and Naomi Lopez, vice president of projects and fourth-year economics student, were among the Enactus STU representatives who attended the World Cup.
While Enactus STU cheered on Enactus Laurier, who competed as Team Canada in the international competition, students along with others from countries around the world, including Ireland, Tunisia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Zimbabwe and more.
“As a new team at Enactus, it was great to learn from other groups and see how we could grow our team and projects,” York said. “Attending the World Cup in Holland was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
In addition to attending the World Cup, the students participated in educational activities, including a walking tour of Utrecht.
“Travelling with Enactus was a rich learning experience – learning about Dutch culture and meeting and connecting with people from all over the world,” Lopez said.

“There are so many amazing, passionate students who are part of Enactus, so it’s great to collaborate on projects, compete and build your network with these individuals,” York said.
“I would recommend that students join Enactus to begin or continue their path of creating meaningful change that can extend beyond their community, which can motivate other individuals to create positive change in the world,” Lopez said.
“Enactus is an organization focused on creating a positive impact in society, allowing you to grow personally by interacting with other individuals and forming a team of people with the same drive and passion to make a difference.”
