Thanksgiving sounds great in Central Florida

Orlando, Florida. Take Turkey Day celebrations abroad because Central Florida makes great predictions for Thanksgiving.

“Eating dinner out? By 6 pm, Campos said temperatures would start to cool down to the mid-1970s and even the highest clear skies.

If you plan to head to the stores early on Black Friday, beware of patchy fog around Central Florida during sunrise, with waking temperatures in the low 60s.

Some big changes are expected in Central Florida after the weekend.

“Early next week is marked by a very different weather pattern in the region,” said Campos. “A strong cold front will approach the region early Monday, accompanied by a bunch of rain and storms with a rapid passage of the front early Monday. The chances of region-wide precipitation will reach 60-70% followed by clear skies on Monday evening.”

Behind the front, expect temperatures to drop drastically, with temperatures dropping in the mid-60s on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Tuesdays to the forties.

Defining the tropics

With only a few days remaining in the official 2020 hurricane season, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring two disturbances in the tropics for potential development.

The low pressure system is currently located several hundreds of miles southeast of Bermuda and can acquire some subtropical characteristics during the next day or two as it drifts south to southwest. The Hurricane Center gives him a 10% chance to develop in the next two days.

A low-pressure non-tropical zone is also expected to form over the easternmost Atlantic Ocean over the weekend, according to the NHC. Predictors give it a 20% chance to develop over the next five days as it slowly moves south.

The Atlantic hurricane season officially continues through November 30.
