One of the biggest creative names in games is now running one of the biggest developers.
Neil Druckman, who has worked as a director for games like The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, has seen a big promotion to become co-president of Naughty Dog.
Druckmann, who has worked as one of the studio’s main creators for years, finds himself alongside Evan Wells running the company.
The announcement came from Wells in a blog post explaining the movements within the studio. Druckmann has been in the studio since 2004 and was promoted to vice president of the company three years ago. He directed The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, and The Last of Us 2.
Elsewhere, Alison Morey and Christian Girling have been promoted to fill the vacant Vice Presidential position. Morey previously worked as Director of Operations. Gyrling was promoted as co-director of the programming job.
“We have an amazing team at Naughty Dog and the ability to work side by side with each one of them is especially helpful these days. I feel proud of the team when I get to know their achievements and contributions to the studio. Please join me in giving them all my congratulations.” Big!
Druckmann took to Twitter to show that he would still run and write for the studio. However, he hinted that he wanted to nurture new talents. chirp:
Oh … and I’ll keep going out and writing as I help direct the next wave of creatives. ♥ ️

While it is unlikely to affect consumers in a very meaningful way, it does ensure Druckmann will likely remain with the company for the foreseeable future. It sure will be welcome news for Naughty Dog fans.
