Officials in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia have urged the Supreme Court to quash the lawsuit in Texas seeking to nullify election results in the four major states that were a battlefield won by Joe Biden.
The lawsuit convictions were filed as 106 House Republicans gave the case their support, and joined a memo to be filed in support of the Texas attorney general’s action, which alleges that “the 2020 elections are riddled with an unprecedented number of serious allegations of fraud and wrongdoing”, raped by conservatives State courts and election officials.
Meanwhile, President-elect Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris were named Time magazine’s 2020 Person of the Year, and were chosen to head Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Black Lives Matter Movement and Donald Trump.
The target states in the Texas case are urging the Supreme Court to dismiss the case
Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin urged the Supreme Court to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Texas to challenge Joe Biden’s victory in the four battlefield states, arguing that the case has no legal or realistic basis.
Josh Shapiro, the Democratic attorney general of Pennsylvania, said in a report he submitted to the Supreme Court justices that the lawsuit repeated baseless allegations that “have already been considered and rejected in this court and others.”
Georgia’s Republican attorney general, Chris Carr, said the allegations in the lawsuit were “new and far-reaching,” and said Texas could not prove that it was harmed by election results in other states.
Dana Nessel, Michigan’s Democratic attorney general, said the challenge was “without a realistic or valid legal basis” and listed the many cases Trump and his supporters lost in Michigan.
Josh Cole, Democratic Wisconsin Attorney General, indicated that Mr.Trump had already obtained a recount in the state’s two most democratic counties, which showed no problem with the results and did not indicate fraud or give any reason to question the reliability of the results.

Brandon Bernard was executed after petitions for clemency were rejected
Brandon Bernard, who was convicted of murder in 1999, was executed in Indiana after the US Supreme Court rejected petitions for clemency at the last minute.
Bernard, 40, is the youngest offender to be executed by the federal government in nearly 70 years and the first since the 19th century to be executed during a presidential transition.
Bernard told the couple’s family in Iowa that he was murdered, before being executed by lethal injection on Thursday.
Four more executions are due before the end of Donald Trump’s presidency, and one has already taken place at the end of November.
If the remaining four occur, Mr.Trump will have overseen most of the executions carried out by an American president in more than a century. This brings the total number of federal executions since July to 13.

Lawsuit in Texas backed by 106 House Republicans
106 Republicans in the House of Representatives supported a lawsuit in Texas asking the Supreme Court to invalidate the victory of President-elect Joe Biden, along with 17 Republican prosecutors.
In a report on Thursday, House Republicans claimed that “the 2020 elections are riddled with an unprecedented number of serious allegations of fraud and irregularities” after governors, state courts and election officials raped them.
Trump described the Texas lawsuit as the “big case” that “everyone has been waiting for.”
However, legal experts question whether the case meets the requirements that the Supreme Court must address.
