South Korea’s LG Display company said on Sunday that it will unveil a 48-inch self-bending OLED screen at the 2021 International Consumer Electronics Show scheduled to open on January 11th.
The company stated that this screen is characterized by the ability to flex and re-straighten freely, with a curvature rate of a maximum of 1000 R (a degree of curvature of a radius of 1000 mm).
The screen can be seen flat when watching TV, and it can also be used in a crouched position to enjoy better visual perception when playing games, according to Yonhap.
The screen adopts “Cinematic Sound OLED” technology, whereby high-quality sound comes out from the screen itself, thanks to the “stimulus” that works on producing sound by stimulating vibration and fixed to the back of the screen.
This screen features a more distinctive design, with the dramatic decrease in thickness in this model from 9 mm to 0.6 mm.
The company stated that Crystal SundaLED technology will provide electronic gamers with the best environment to play.
