The women’s domestic game was suspended just under two weeks ago at the last international break of the season, before Arsenal faced Portsmouth or Gillingham in the FA Cup fourth round at Meadow Park on April 18. Most of the friendly matches, with the exception of the Swiss players, who played a crucial bilateral play-off match to qualify for Euro 2021 (to be played in England next summer).
Jane Beatty and Lisa Evans are injured anyway, but Kim Little has some free time because Scotland don’t have a match. Steve Catley (Australia) and Vicki Schneiderbeek (knee) will continue the final stage of their rehabilitation in London. Anna Patten is not (yet) an international player in England and will also be leaving.
