Besides the Switzerland Tour, the Critérium du Dauphiné is the most important preparatory race for the Tour de France. The eight-day WorldTour French Race kicks off today with a treacherous hill stage in and around Issoire. Discuss this Flash cycling The course of the first stage!
The Devil is in the Tail, but the opening stage also promises to be particularly challenging. In a 182-kilometer mountain stage around Issoire, there are seven slopes on the list. After the final game descending nearly seventy kilometers, the riders will turn into the local circuit, which will swing three times, each with two ascents.
On either side of the frequent Côte du Château de Buron (3.2 km at 6.8%) and the Col de la Croix des Gardes (1.6 km at 5.1%), there is a lot to do. After the last lane from the Croix des Gardes there is still twelve kilometers to the end, which descends considerably. End Street in the wall rises a little.
