Britain’s Crown Prince Charles has had several meetings in recent years with the man who has been the focus of the alleged bribery scandal surrounding his charity. This is what is written in the famous British newspaper Sunday timeOn the basis of own research.
The Prince’s Foundation, Charles’ charitable foundation, has come under fire over allegations that it received large sums of money from wealthy businessmen in exchange for personal attention from the Prince on several occasions. For example, they received a royal decoration and a handwritten letter from Charles.
As it turned out, Charles was in regular contact with the man who, according to various media outlets, was the liaison between the royal family and businessmen. In the past seven years, Charles and William Portrick have met at least nine times. Those meetings were held in England, Scotland and Saudi Arabia, according to The Times.
Several board members had already resigned after feeling the wind from the “devious practices” within the institution. Clarence House, the palace that handles the prince’s spokesman, said Charles had “no knowledge” of the practices and was conducting an investigation.
