Panasonic has introduced the KX-TU456 mobile phone in a classic clamshell form factor.

The shockproof compact model will become an affordable, understandable, older generation device (hearing aid compatible) and a reliable companion in circumstances where you don’t want to risk an expensive smartphone.

On the cover of the phone there is a notification panel, where information about messages, missed calls, etc. is displayed. The numbers and capital letters on the backlit keys are easy to read even in low light conditions. The pressure is accompanied by a beep so that the user can confirm that the dialed number is correct. The shock-resistant casing protects the phone from damage when dropped from a height of up to 1.5 meters, and a full battery will provide a standby time of up to 25 days (up to 600 hours).

The 2.4-inch high-contrast 240 x 320 TFT color screen and clear menus make navigation easy. The capacity of the phone book exceeds 450 numbers, for five subscribers it is possible to set up a priority call using the speakerphone (using the SOS button on the back of the phone). The built-in equalizer allows you to adjust the volume for each audio frequency range (there are three modes to choose from). There is also support for microSD cards.

The Panasonic KX-TU456 will be available in black for $57.
