Equinix, a data center and communications services provider, announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2021. Quarterly sales increased 10 percent from the same quarter last year to $1.675 billion, or 8 percent on a regular and constant currency basis. That represented the 75th consecutive quarter of revenue growth. Net profit increased 123 percent to $152 million.
Enterprise-wide records bookings accounted for more than 35 percent of total bookings, with nearly 50 percent in corporate bookings and more than 60 percent in new registrations in the third quarter. With a total of more than 414,000 connections, interconnection revenue has outpaced residential revenue.
Key achievements include the complete acquisition of GPX India and the expansion of the xScaleTM program with a new agreement to form a $565 million joint venture in Australia.
