Instagram has announced a new feature called Rage Shake to improve the user experience, which it said allows users to report issues they encounter with the app by simply shaking the phone, and helps it prioritize bugs and other things that need to be fixed.
The platform added: Have you ever used the Instagram application and it was not working as it was supposed to? The stories might not load, the audio might not be working, you might not be able to upload a picture and you’re worried and upset. You can now shake the phone and a small option appears allowing you to report a problem.
In addition to that, the platform also revealed the Carousel Deletion feature, a feature that users have been wanting for a while.
Instead of deleting an entire post with multiple content because of one bad photo, the platform now allows you to delete the selected photo.
All you have to do is click on the three dots on the top right side, press Edit, and then scroll to the photo you want to delete. From there, you can click the little delete button in the top right-hand side of that photo.
Rage Shake is currently available on iOS and Android in the US only. While Carousel Deletion is available on iOS and coming to Android soon.
Instagram has officially launched its Badges feature in the US, which gives viewers a way to pay and support creators via Instagram Live.
Although, the feature has been in testing for about a year and a half on an invite-only basis. But starting today, the platform allows any content creator eligible through its platform to apply for the feature.
Once accepted, viewers can purchase badges during the creator’s live broadcast to financially support them.
The decals are available in three different levels, costing $0.99, $1.99 or $4.99. They appear as one, two, or three hearts next to the commentator’s name during a live broadcast.
Any questions or comments posted by a badge owner will be more visible to the creator. Their name appears in the creator’s visible list for up to 90 days.
