Schulting has won the World Cup twice in the 1000m this season, losing once to American Christine Santos. Friesen, 24, has already won the bronze medal in the 1,500 meters on Saturday. She was also on track to win a medal in the 500m, but at the end of the race hit the ice after a very difficult maneuver.
Last weekend in Debrecen, Schulting took gold in the 500, 1000 and 1500m relays. Schulting is the European and world champion in all respects. Xandra Velzeboer also gave an excellent performance in the 1000m race at Dordrecht. In Final B, the 20-year-old defeated Dutch big names such as Ariana Fontana and Christine Santos.
Still twice gold schulting
Later the same day, Schulting took home the gold medal twice. The leader Scholting remained with Selma Botsma, Yara van Kerkhove and Zandra Velzibor at the top of the Canadian team (silver) and Italy (bronze). South Korea took third place, but this team was disqualified.
This is the third victory for the Orange drivers in four World Cups. The short track riders had to be satisfied with the silver once.
Schulting also won the gold with the Dutch team in a mixed relay earlier on Sunday. In the singles, the 24-year-old Frisian did not win a distance this weekend, but finished third twice.
The Dutch men were eliminated early in the tournament for the relay portion.
