American jockey Julie McAllister is the new owner of the International Grand Prix horse Urielo de Houx (Sandro Hit x Florencio I). Selle Français’ breeding Kirsten Brouwer entered the Intermédiaire II level before being sold to the United States a few years ago.
Urielo de Houx was already a champion of France as a pony and was named again a champion at the age of three. He started his career in the sport under the saddle of Caroline Roach, before Vincent Gilotto took over the reins in 2017. Sandro Heitt’s son then moved to the Netherlands.
A career in the Netherlands
Brouwer released the then ten-year-old multiple times at the Inter II level. “He’s got a lot of talent in piaffe and can jump on a chain for eight, but in testing he’s still a bit nervous, so that doesn’t look good yet. That’s why I’m going to take him at least now to Inter II, because I just want to start the Grand Prix.” If everything is really good,” the rider told Horses.nl at the time.
Departure to the United States
Brewer could not enjoy neutering for a long time, because it was sold to Anne Romney, the wife of American electoral candidate Mitt Romney. Enrich continued his education under the saddle of Benjamin Ebeling, who this spring competed at the U25 International Grand Prix level at CDI Wellington.
