The Tropical Bowl takes place on Saturday, January 15th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Players score on Thursday, January 13th, with a chance to introduce themselves to NFL Scouts and GMs from across the country. The week is about scouting, education and football. More than 350 Tropical Bowl alumni have joined the NFL since its inception.
The duo has become the ninth and tenth EMU player to participate in the event since its inception in 2015. Other eastern Michigan players include: Great Ebi (2015), Cole Gardner (2016), Jason Beck (2017), Derek Dunlap (2017), Audi Granger (2017), Ike Spearman (2017), Jeremy Hickey (2018) in Drake Sutton (2019).
The match will be broadcast on FloFootball.com with the match scheduled for 4 PM
Meanwhile, the 76th annual Hula Bowl will take place on Saturday, January 15th at UCF’s Bounce House Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Beginning in 1960, the Hula Bowl was established in Hawaii as an all-star game that would only invite NCAA players from schools in the United States. The match remained on Oahu until the 2008 game, and will resume in 2022 with a move to Florida.
Odukoya is the first EMU student athlete to play in the event since 1997 when Charlie Patch in a Lionel Dalton They showed off their skills on their way to being selected in the NFL Draft.
The match will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network with kick-off at 12:00 pm.
