The world’s most popular browser is currently getting an update to version 103 on various platforms. When it comes to security, Google has closed a total of 14 vulnerabilities, one of which has a severity of “Critical” and two that are rated “High”. Chrome 103 adds support for the 103 Early Hints HTTP response code, which could make the browser even faster. Many browsers do By preloading page content, 103 early hints make this process “faster” – even though a lot is now happening in an area that is no longer perceptible.
With the new version of Google Chrome, web applications have the option to use fonts that are saved on the running device. There’s also something from the realm of machine learning — how Chrome learns when a permission prompt is likely to be denied based on how a user has previously interacted with similar permission prompts, and turns off those unwanted ones.
