This year Ferrari celebrates its 75th anniversary, and the Autoworld Museum in Brussels celebrates an exhibition dedicated to the Italian sports car brand with unique cars.
Autoworld always presents exhibits with beautiful themes. 75 years of the famous Italian sports car brand has of course been a dream come true. It’s somewhat of a double celebration because for the past 70 years, racing driver Jack Swatters has also become the official Ferrari importer for the Benelux. Thus, Belgium became the first country in Europe to import Ferrari cars and the second in the world after the United States. It was 1952, when Swaters had just founded the Ecurie Francorchamps and bought his first Ferrari, the 500 F2.
To celebrate this anniversary, Autoworld will be showcasing some fifteen exceptional Firas for over two months – from September 23 to December 4, 2022.sI’m at the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels. Each has its own story: it is historically unique, produced in very limited numbers, and was once driven by a well-known or celebrity-owned racing driver.
At the ’75 anni di Ferrari’ gallery you can see Eric Clapton’s 206 Dino, the unique Daytona Michelotti, the 195 Inter Ghia, the 500 Superfast of Peter Sellers, the 250 GT Spider LWB, the 308 GTS,… As a bonus, a Ferrari “Cars and Coffee” will take place on Sunday 25 September at the Esplanade of the Cinquantenaire Park in front of the museum.
