Dusseldorf Bosch employees should soon have some kind of ChatGPT for work: “We will have our own BoschGPT by the end of the year at the latest and we will activate it for all employees,” Bosch general manager Tanja Ruckert tells Handelsblatt.
What is meant is a language model based on artificial intelligence (AI) that understands human language and can generate text on its own. As with OpenAI’s popular chatbot, Bosch employees should be able to speak and write with BoschGPT as with another person. Bosch gets the technology for this from Heidelberg-based start-up Aleph Alpha.
BoschGPT shall provide the answers based on all the information in its own database. Until now, Bosch knowledge in the database could only be found using keywords. In order to find specific information, Bosch partners need to know exactly what they are looking for.
