Holchorst – Holshorst missed two important points again. The home match against Wageningen was a very disappointing 1-1 draw. For example, Holshorst lost four points to two Wageningen teams in the space of eight days.

Holshorst, with occasional striker Bram van Duinen, started the game well and took an early lead. It was Jesper den Herder who gave Holshorst a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute with a beautiful long shot. Supporters sat for a moment. With such an early lead, they thought it could be a beautiful afternoon with many goals. Nothing could be further from the truth! Holshorst has got stuck in the old song again. Lots of weaving without getting a good shot on goal. I think the idea was that the score was 1-0, so they kept a clean sheet… Indeed, Holshorst’s rearguard has been as secure as a Swiss bank in recent weeks, but has also shown to be capable of making mistakes. Thanks to an extremely rare attack from Wageningen, the score was 1-1 in the 39th minute. Holshorst just stood there and looked at him.

    the other half

Holshorst had to work in the second half to avoid dropping two unnecessary points again. Immediately after the end of the first half, Eric van Duinen’s shot hit the post. As the second half progressed, the game was like the weather, and it got worse and worse. Hulshorst even had to be careful not to score another goal as Wageningen’s reaction was often so dangerous. By introducing two new strikers, Mil Miedema and Jordi Bosch, coach Van den Hul tried to change course, but it was already too late for that. Deep into the game, Timothy de Haan had a great chance, but this chance was also squandered, in keeping with the style of the match.

AZ from Arnhem won the first period with a win and Holshorst tied. Hulshorst is still in second place, but they now have to start winning games again if they do not want to fall out of the ‘leading group’ in this fifth bracket. It should happen this Saturday and then they will play at home again, against ZVV’56 from Apeldoorn.
