The national coach had left Louis Abing, Angela Malstine and Bo van Wetering at home for the match in Finland. He has added Aliki van Mourik, Daphne Lucchese and Louis van Vliet to the selection.
Against Finland, the Netherlands started with Rinka Duijndam in goal. Later, Tess Lieder and Yara ten Holt also got playing time. There is no throttle back
In the second half, the handball players ran away from the opponent, who managed to score only six goals. Lucchese scored the thirty-first and final goal for the Dutch national team.
Larissa Nasr, who was named player of the match, scored four goals, as did Kim Molenaar, Kelly Dolfer and Kelly Volbergt. Inger Smits, Zoe Sprengers and Nikita van der Vliet were minutes three times. Johansson’s team will play for the first time in the World Cup finals in Denmark, Norway and Sweden at the end of this year.
