Even in 2023, there will still be movies that are not easy to get in good quality. “True Lies” was one such case. Director James Cameron recently explained why in an interview.
But movie fans get supplies: Four Cameron classics have been available on Apple TV since December 12: “Aliens: The Return,” “Titanic,” “The Abyss” and “True Lies.” Blu-ray releases are expected to follow in the spring.
But the upgrade from True Lies is currently causing buzz.
Artificial intelligence in action?
Opinions differ on what a movie should look like (also when it comes to FPS). Artificial intelligence may have been used in the remake of Schwarzenegger’s action classic, movie website JoBlo suspects. But see for yourself:

You can see it at first glance: In the photo on the right, the actors look so smooth, as if they were made of wax.
The author of the article about JoBlo admits that it does not look as unnatural in the gif as in the screenshot. However, “True Lies” looks completely different in 4K than what you’re used to before. The grain is not coarse, and everything is “smooth.”

There is an interesting addition: Obviously, Cameron’s other 4K releases don’t look like that, or at least they don’t matter as much as “True Lies.”
