Hundreds of employees of an Airbus subsidiary in France fell ill after the company's annual Christmas dinner. Local health authorities reported this. This concerns more than seven hundred employees suffering from complaints such as severe vomiting, diarrhea and headaches.
This concerns Airbus Atlantic, which, among other things, manufactures seats for pilots and passengers. A Christmas dinner was held for 2,600 people last Thursday at the company's restaurant at the Airbus Atlantic factory in Montoir-de-Bretagne, western France.
The regional health service said on Friday that it had launched an investigation into the cause of the mass food poisoning. It is not known what was on the Christmas list on the Airbus Atlantic plane, according to Agence France-Presse.
“Worst headache ever”
“We were supposed to celebrate a birthday this weekend, but we had to cancel everything. I had the worst headache ever,” a company employee told the French news site. Western France. Another speaks of abdominal cramps “worse than when she was born.”
There are currently concerns about the quality of some oysters from the Loire-Atlantique region, French media write, but they were not served during the Christmas banquet. On social media, some employees point out the Rocamador cheeses on the menu, which are made from goat's milk.
