Google has already released the next app update for Android Auto.
Shortly after the first beta of Android Auto 11.1, the final version has been released and should be available to all users as an app update in the Google Play Store in the coming days. A quick look at the updated app reveals a small change, which may also be a bug. We don't know that yet.
For the first time, I can now not only see gas stations or charging stations in categories on Google Maps, but access them at the same time. Before, there was always one choice or the other. If I activate the electric car settings, I am offered charging stations which in the app's original state are classic gas stations. Well, both are interesting for hybrids.
Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to discover any other innovations. But overall, Android Auto is currently being worked on again, with Google recently announcing new functionality.
Android Auto: You can download new app versions in two ways
You can often get the latest version of Android Auto very quickly via the Google Play Store (also applies to the beta version) or much faster via the so-called Apkmirror for manual installation.
