SYDNEY – Australian zero-emission aircraft designer and manufacturer AMSL Aero has signed an order and received deposits for ten hydrogen-powered Vertiia vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, with an option for ten more.
The application has been submitted by Aviation Logistics, paving the way for zero-emission flying across Australia. Aviation Logistics, one of Australia's largest general aviation and regional airline groups, is looking to operate up to 20 new Vertiia aircraft through its subsidiaries Air Link, AirMed and Chartair, for passenger, charter, air cargo and air medical flights from seven countries. Bases in Australia.
The deal represents a major milestone for AMSL Aero and Vertiia, the world's first hydrogen-powered VTOL aircraft, the next generation of aircraft that takes off like a helicopter and flies as quickly and smoothly as a fixed-wing aircraft. The aircraft will be the world's most efficient, zero-emission long-range VTOL aircraft, with a range of up to 1,000 kilometers and a cruising speed of up to 300 kilometers per hour, according to AMSL Aero.
