We won't have to wait much longer before we see flying cars on the road (or in the sky). This Dutch company will deliver floating vehicles to the world for the first time in 2024.
Since the arrival of the first car, we humans have been dreaming of a different kind of aircraft. Flying cars are the picture of the future, and it seems like that time has finally come.
Since this year, the Dutch company Pal V has been supplying flying cars that are actually allowed on the road. There is no doubt that these vehicles will turn the world upside down. Meet Pal V Liberty.
This flying car from Holland will conquer the world
Pal V stands for Personal Air and Land Vehicles and was founded in 2008. From the start of the company, its owner Robert Dingemans dreamed of developing a flying car. This dream became a reality in 2017 thanks to the launch of Pal V Liberty.
Liberty is an ideal car for medium and long trips. You can drive more easily on the road. But if you really want to travel far, and I mean far into the sky, you can drive to the runway. There you can turn the car into a helicopter within five minutes. In the air, you can travel about 500 kilometers on a single charge.
If you stay on the road, this flying car will be of great benefit to you as well. The car can accommodate two people and you can travel a distance of 1,315 kilometers. You can also easily cruise on the highway, because the Liberty's top speed is 160 kilometers per hour.
Pal V has been testing the Liberty on various test tracks since February 2020. The exercises have been a great success, with the Liberty passing its road approval tests in August. The car can now officially be used on the road. It is the world's first commercial flying car allowed to drive on European roads.
Hack command
This year, the first owners of the Pal V Liberty will receive the keys to the car. Now that the deliveries have begun, it appears the ball is starting to roll. It remains to be seen whether freedom will conquer the world. But the flying car is very popular.
According to Dingemanse, Pal V recently received a “breakthrough order.” The company received an order for one hundred flying cars. The Dutch company has never had such a huge order before. Aviterra was assigned this task. The company is a subsidiary of Jetex, a company that provides luxury aircraft services at airports.
However, Pal V has no plans to stop at Liberty. The company plans to develop different types of FlyDrive and Urban Air Mobility products in the future. Pal V will be involved in everything related to aviation mobility. Who knows, we might soon see a flying e-bike or a floating hoverboard!
