Another WDF tournament was planned in Australia last weekend. This time it was the Bronze-winning Murray Bridge Grand Prix.
In the men's category, defending champion Brandon Wenning was the favorite to take the final victory, having already won two WDF championships in Australia last week.
However, Winning lost 4-2 to Brayden Sperling in the quarterfinals. Sperling himself also defeated Dylan OAF 4-2 in the semi-finals thus reaching the final.
In the other semi-final it was surprisingly Aaron Morrison who defeated top seed Peter Machin 4-2. In the final, Sperling easily defeated Morrison 5–1 to claim his first ever WDF title.
The usual names were in the women's semi-finals. Joanne Hadley defeated Lyn Morrison 4-2 while Lakeside 2024 participant Amanda Loch won 4-0 over Janine Cassar.
In the final it was again Amanda Loch who did not give up her leg and defeated Joanne Hadley 4-0. Loch lost only one group stage match in the entire tournament compared to the 31 she won.
