Fashion platform Zalando is testing a new delivery option in the Zurich area alongside Swiss delivery service notime, a subsidiary of Swiss Post. This gives Zalando's Swiss customers more control and flexibility in the delivery of their orders.
According to Zalando, customers can choose a delivery time 90 minutes after placing their order, so that the package will be delivered when they are guaranteed to be home. They can then track their orders online in real time. Orders are delivered in small electric vehicles from Schweizerische Post, bearing the Zalando logo.
Understanding customer needs
Christoph Lütke Schilhö, General Manager of DACH at Zalando, explains in the letter how important this pilot program is for Zalando to better understand customer needs: “With the courier service, we offer a service tailored specifically to our Swiss customers, who are assigned a specific delivery time.” . At least as important as fast delivery. We are therefore looking forward to testing the pilot with our partners notime and Swiss Post and gaining valuable experience in Switzerland to improve the shopping experience for our customers in Zalando.
