The royal couple receives the Emir of Qatar
Immediately after the weekend, an official reception is scheduled for King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Jawaher, will visit the Netherlands on Monday. In addition to many other commitments, the couple also has an appointment at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. A reception will be held at 12:00 noon. After the ceremony, the royal couple and the prince and his wife go inside for lunch and speeches.

Relations with Qatar
The purpose of this official visit is to maintain good relations between the Netherlands and Qatar. The countries are working closely together in the areas of “sustainable energy, sustainable cultivation of our food and the digitalization of society,” the government information service reported. In 2013, Moza bint Nasser, the mother of the current Emir, attended the inauguration ceremony of King Willem-Alexander. Four years later, she returned to the Netherlands again and went out with Queen Máxima.

Fashion queen Maxima
Queen Máxima will wear a light blue outfit from fashion house Natan on Monday. The costume was previously worn during the taping of the Christmas Music Gala 2023. Máxima combines the costume with a new hat.
