Robert Gunn, 57, who lives in Scotland, is one of the favorite participants on “B&B Vol Liefde” this season. He knows how to captivate his women and viewers with his courage, interesting facts about Scotland and inspiring stories. For example, during his date with Margaret, he talks openly about his illness and the path to recovery.
“I was really trying to say goodbye.”
On Monday night's episode, Robert explains to Jan that he has had serious health problems in the past. “I was able to get out of it and that's a good example for a lot of people,” he says. He stresses that there is always hope, even when facing a serious illness. “There's always a way up.”
Robert Gunn then shares with viewers that he was on the brink. “I was really trying to say goodbye,” he says emotionally to the camera. The rehabilitation process took at least two years, but he didn’t give up. “A doctor told me at the end of my chemotherapy that I wouldn’t even be able to walk up the stairs.” That was his signal to fight. “That’s not going to happen, I’m going to fight my way out.”
Now, almost two years later, Robert Jan can proudly say that he feels fitter than ever. He thoroughly enjoys life, his loved ones and the environment. On top of that, he has a successful business that he runs with passion. “Every day I feel happy to be there,” he says. “I enjoy it! When I raise the curtain in my bedroom, I feel grateful and proud of what I have achieved.”
It has been for many B&B full of loveViewers were shocked when Robert sent Jan Els away to Scotland. In an exclusive interview with RTL Boulevard she explains how she experienced her exit. Her social media is also exploding. Finally, she answers the question: How are things in love?
