The man had lost his way on Mount Dumpling, a mountain in Katmai National Park. This is one of the most remote places in the United States, and can only be reached by boat or plane, the BBC wrote on its website.
The live stream from Dumpling Mountain can be viewed via the Explore organisation’s website, which makes webcams in the nature reserves available. The man put his head briefly in front of the webcam (video: see below). Although the broadcast made no sound, viewers thought they recognized the words “lost” and “help.”
A viewer said in the comments on the site: “There is a person in the picture in trouble.” With his thumbs down, the man was also indicating that he had lost track.

The discovery was discovered by staff who contacted park officials, who sent a rescue team to the webcam site. Three and a half hours after reporting, the man was found unharmed and taken to safety.
At this time of year, the seven live shows from Katmai National Park are always well watched, with the park holding its traditional fat bear contest next month.
Bears prepare for hibernation by stuffing themselves with salmon in September and October. Viewers can vote for their favorite chubby bear at the end.
