The director of a human resources company in Malaysia transferred millions into her account in November due to a mistake by Maybank. According to the woman, the bank staff handled the situation so unprofessionally that she wanted to give the staff a customer service course as a gift.
Last month, Hafiza Abdullah suddenly saw 404 million ringgit (about 80 million euros) in her account. Shortly thereafter, her private and company accounts were frozen. This was during the period when salaries had to be paid.
She said on her personal page on LinkedIn that the incident caused Abdullah some frustration. According to the manager, the bank was not helpful and he had to come daily to help correct the error.
Abdullah invites bank employees to visit her company. She believes the employees there can be trained in customer service and work ethics.
Maybank has now announced that the error has been corrected, he wrote New Strait time.
