Data management provider Acronis suspends all activities in Russia. This is reported by Acronis CEO Patrick Pulvermueller in a blog post. Earlier, Acronis founder Serguei Beloussov reported that Acronis is providing assistance to Ukraine.
Like the rest of the world, we are shocked and deeply concerned about the Russian conflict in Ukraine. We support the people of Ukraine and call for peace in the region. Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Acronis suspends all operations in Russia.
Acronis is a global company founded by a Singaporean citizen in Singapore in 2003 and established in Switzerland in 2008. We have more than 2,000 employees in 34 countries and 19 offices around the world. Our technology is built, tested, stored, distributed and licensed at our headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. We have not sold solutions in Russia since 2017. The history of our company can be found here.
humanitarian aid
As a company, we believe it is important to protect and help those in need. The Acronis Cyber Foundation has released $500,000 in humanitarian aid to those in need. We are also opening job opportunities in offices around the world for Ukrainian refugees who have had to flee this conflict and are left without a job. The Acronis Cyber Foundation team works with various agencies on additional measures, such as financial assistance, shelter, food, and clothing.
Electronic protection for our customers and partners
For our customers and partners, rest assured that the Acronis software you rely on to protect and manage your business will remain available without interruption, as always. Here are three important steps we take to ensure the security of your programs and data:
Acronis IP and Acronis software is designed, tested and stored at our headquarters in Switzerland.
Our security development lifecycle is designed to prevent internal and supply chain attacks against our code.
None of our global cyber security services and data centers are located in Russia. Equally important, our data centers are multiple certified, including ISO, SOC, HIPAA, CJIS, and NIST 800-171 compliant, using FIPS 140-2 encryption. We meet or exceed all GDPR requirements worldwide.
Acronis will continue to support our employees, customers, and partners, and join all those who advocate for peace around the world.
