Sony is working hard to shoot its games. Uncharted is of course the long-running project that will be seen on the silver screen in early 2022. Additionally, work is underway on a TV series about The Last of Us and Ghost of Tsushima that will also be coming to cinemas sooner or later.
The question at release time is whether we can visit cinemas, given that this is still uncertain due to the pandemic. If that wasn’t available everywhere, there would be at least an alternative to the movies Uncharted and Ghost of Tsushima, which will be appearing on Netflix.
Variety reports that Sony Pictures and Netflix have signed a deal to bring the films to the streaming platform as soon as they are released in theaters. So, regardless of what happens around the cinema release, at least both films will be broadcast at home later.
The only thing in this story is that the deal only applies to the US at the moment, so it remains to be seen how that will turn out in Europe. However, it is possible to switch to the US offer very easily via a VPN, should the need arise in time.
