Alex Trebek’s wife, Jean Trebeek, thanked fans for their support on Wednesday, days after “The Danger!” The host died after a battle with pancreatic cancer in stage IV.
Jan commented on a photo on Instagram from the couple’s wedding day: “My family and I sincerely thank you all for your kind and generous messages.”

“Your expressions really touched our hearts.” “Thank you very much,” she continued. “Many blessings for everyone, Jean Trippec.”
The couple married in 1990 and were parents to son Matthew, 30, and daughter Emily, 27. Trebek previously married Ellen Kaley from 1974 to 1981.
Trebeek died Sunday at the age of 80.
He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2019, but Jen noticed the symptoms beforehand.
During a family trip to Israel in December 2018, Jane said, “The coloring of Trebic seemed off,” as she explains in a 2020 article published on a tipster. After seeing the doctor and performing a CT scan, the family received the news.
“Pancreatic cancer with a tumor that had spread to the soft lining of his stomach. Stage Four, Jane wrote.” It felt as if the fundus had leaked out of my world. ”
But she also wrote optimistically: “This should not be a death sentence. It could be a life sentence. A constant reminder of how valuable life is.”
In the wake of Trebek’s death, countless salutations poured in, including letters from Ryan Reynolds, John Legend and “Jeopardy!” Former hero Ken Jennings.
