Chicago, Illinois – Penn State graduate Alyssa Naher has been named to the 25-man roster for the US Women’s National Team Training Camp in January, scheduled to be held in Austin, Texas, from January 19-28.
Naher, a two-time Olympian and a USWNT member since 2013, will take part in the bootcamp to celebrate USWNT’s first action in 2022. It will also mark Naher’s return to USWNT activity after injuring her knee in the semi-finals of the 2020 Olympics.
Before her injury, Naher started with five of her six goals for the United States, including a heroic attempt in the quarter-final against the Netherlands. Naher saved three penalty kicks, one in the system and two after penalty kicks.

Born in Stratford, Connecticut, Naher recently completed her sixth season with the Chicago Red Stars.
