In a conversation with Prime Video, the 62-year-old Italian said Carlo Ancelotti believes he is working on his last job as head coach at Real Madrid. Ancelotti has coached the biggest clubs in Europe, such as Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
“After Real, I will probably end up as the club’s coach,” said the experienced coach.
“Maybe there will be a sequel as a national coach, but it’s too early to make any statements about that. I’m already ruling out the next World Cup, but maybe there’s still a possibility in four years.”
The current Real Madrid manager is keen to spend more time with his family. “I would like to see my grandchildren more and travel with my wife. I have never been to Australia or Rio de Janeiro. I would also like to visit my sister more often. There will be enough to do.”
Ancelotti has been in the coaching profession for nearly thirty years. In the early 1990s, he began his coaching career as an assistant national coach for Arrigo Sacchi in Italy. The Italians finished second in the World Cup finals in the United States.
Ancelotti faces Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals with Real. The first match in England ended with a score of 4-3 for City. Back in Madrid on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Real actually won the Spanish title by beating Espanyol 4-0.
Real Madrid – Manchester City can be watched live on RTL7 on Wednesday from 20.03
