Edith Finch! Outer prairie! Gorogua! More!
Annapurna Interactive, the publisher behind the likes of What Remains of Edith Finch and critically acclaimed Outer Wilds, has announced a pair of PlayStation 4’s 5th Anniversary Box Set Packs, which put together eight of its iconic games.
There are slight differences in offer and price between the two packages (be careful neither of them is cheap), but the included titles remain the same across both of them.
There’s a physics puzzle game based on the story of Ben Esposito, Donut County, creator Katamari Damacy Keita Takahashi’s Wattam, Giant Sparrow’s powerful narrative adventure What Remains of Edith Finch, Simogo musical masterpiece Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Cardboard Computer’s dreadfully surreal Kentucky Road Zero: TV Edition, and Eurogamer Video, Selected Game of the Year 2019, Outer Wilds, from Mobius Digital.
And this is not all either; Annapurna also includes Sam Barlow’s investigative FMV puzzle Telling Lies and the stunningly complex Buried Signal puzzle Gorogoa, the first time either of them will have a physical release on PS4.
As for the variants of the package, the All Sing and Dance release (it doesn’t but you get the point) is Annapurna Interactive Deluxe PS4 Limited Edition, which comes in a specially designed “premium quality” folio package, featuring an introduction from the publisher’s founder and exclusive data from the creators of each game Included.
This edition is limited to 2000 copies and is available exclusively through iam8bit, and it weighs $ 199.99. The Annapurna Interactive Ultimate PS4 Kit comes at just under $ 179.99 and is packaged in a “nifty box with exclusive cover papers” and is also available in limited quantities, currently unlimited. Apparently interested parties can pre-order the latter from retailers around the world starting today.
UK prices and release dates after ‘Q4 2020’ were still being confirmed at the time of writing.
