Daria Danilova and Michelle Tsiba are in seventh place in Vancouver
The short program of Daria Danilova and Michele Tsipa during the Vancouver Grand Prix saw some mistakes, meaning the pair had to settle for sixth place (57.17). In the freestyle, beautiful jumps and spins alternated with some carelessness to the sounds of The Chain, which received a rating of 107.84. However, the pair had their best results at the start of the season in both freestyle events and finished in seventh place. In November, the pair will compete in their second Grand Prix, November 24-26 in Osaka, Japan.
The doubles competition was won by Canadian duo Diana Stellato – Dudek and Maxime Deschamps. The fourth-place finisher in last year’s World Cup was ahead of everyone. Among the men, Japanese Sota Yamamoto was the best, ahead of his compatriot Kao Miura. Vice world champion Junhwan Cha of Korea only finished ninth due to his disappointing freestyle. The best among the women was Japan’s Kaori Sakumoto, the 2023 world champion. Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier scored the highest among ice dancers.
