Want to check out American Netflix for a larger selection of movies? This can be done very easily. Here's how to do it on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

Netflix is ​​the most expensive streaming service in the Netherlands by far, and although the selection is great, there are still a lot of series and movies missing. Many of them ended up on other streaming services, or were never available in the first place – but this doesn't apply to every country.

Many movies and series that cannot be watched here can be watched on US Netflix. With the help of a VPN, you can easily access American Netflix on all your Apple devices from the Netherlands (or from anywhere else).

There are now an incredible number of VPN services you can use for this purpose, such as NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and TunnelBear. As a result, you can no longer see the forest through the trees. But newcomer ClearVPN 2, from the maker of popular Mac apps like CleanMyMac, Gemini 2, and The Unarchiver, is a more interesting option.

Once you've set up your VPN and connected to the US via your VPN service, you can open Netflix as usual. The app (or website) will automatically display the US offer. However, you often have to close the application via the multitasking menu (swipe from bottom to top and hold) and open it again.

Want to know in advance if American Netflix has what you're looking for? Then use Netflix Global Search. This lets you know which series or movie in which country you can watch it. If, for example, it's only available on British Netflix, you'll have to set your VPN to the UK to watch it.
