The Young Dutch won the European Championship qualifying match with their peers at Young Moldova 3-0. As a result, Erwin van de Looi’s team moves through Switzerland to first place in the group.
She was hit really fast for the U23 national team. After a clever transfer from Joshua Zirkzee, Quinten Timber fired in the second minute. After the break there was already a stage where Moldova repeatedly scored close to Kgil Scherbin’s goal. However, it was Orange that hit. A Mitchell Baker cross was passed against his roster, after which the rebound ended at Robby’s feet. After that, the Dutch juniors regained control and was again close to the fourth goal, through Jürgen Eckelenkamp, among others, but he did not fall.
The Dutch Juniors now have a one-point advantage over the Swiss. Both countries will play two more matches. And the Dutch Juniors will play, on Tuesday, against Gibraltar in Almira.
