Carrie – Epic Games, the video game developer behind Fortnite, has said it will offer players who make real-money in-game purchases who are new Disney + subscribers for up to two months of free streaming service.
The company said that all Fortnite players over the age of 18 who have made real money in-game purchases will be eligible to receive up to two months free Disney + in countries and territories where the service is available.
The offer will be available from November 11 through December 31.
After making an in-game purchase, Fortnite players will be directed to a website to redeem the offer.
“We’re always looking for ways to add value to Fortnite players, whether it’s through gameplay or other types of entertainment experiences,” said Adam Sussman, president of Epic Games.
“The expansion of our partnership with Disney allows us to further expand this value, launch an incredible amount of entertainment for our players on Disney’s growing streaming platform, just in time for Mandalorian Season 2,” Susman added.
Disney also hopes to capitalize on this collaboration with Fortnite, which is played by more than 350 million people.
“After years of strong relationship between Disney and Epic, we are excited to expand our collaboration with the new Disney + Fortnite show. We are approaching Disney +’s first anniversary,” said Michael Powell, president of Disney +, and are excited to celebrate the occasion by expanding the Disney + experience and content.
