Farmers from all over the country protested at the border.
Farmers protest today live updates: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today sent legal notice to Kangana Ranaut for her “insulting” tweets against farmers protesting the center’s three farm laws. In a tweet, DSGMC Chairman Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that they have sent legal notice to Kangana Ranaut due to her insulting tweet in which she described the elderly mother of a farmer as a woman available for 100 rupees. We demand an unconditional apology for her insensitive remarks about the farmers’ protest. Kangana was asked to remove her tweet and make an unconditional apology.
Farmers continue to sit at the borders that block the main entry points into the national capital. On Thursday, the farmers held fourth rounds of talks with the Fijian Bhawan Center. After the meeting, the farmers said the center finally agreed that there were some problems with the three laws. As farmers press for a complete pull back, the center made clear that a withdrawal is not possible but some could consider some adjustments. The two sides will meet again on Dec. 5 for the fifth round of talks.
