Facebook and Instagram experienced widespread technical disruptions in several countries on Tuesday. Users of Meta Group's online services on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Bluesky reported that they were logged out and were unable to log in again.
Tens of thousands of users have reported technical issues with the All Errors service. There were more than 29,000 reports of incidents on Facebook alone. One affected person wrote: “Oh #Facebook is down. Recordings are no longer possible. #facebookdown.”
After an hour, the number of bug reports had dropped to almost zero.
Instagram and Facebook are up and running again
There were more than 25,000 error messages on Instagram. For example, if you open the Instagram app on your smartphone, the following error message will be displayed: “Unable to reload feed.”
