Sherine Van Anroe has been selected by national coach Gerben de Knecht for next weekend’s World Cup match in Tabor, Czech Republic. The twenty-year-old cyclocross racer from Kapelle is part of the eleven members of the Orange Pick.
After a long road season, finishing 14th in the Tour de France, De Beveland took more than three weeks off. On Thursday she will be participating in cyclocross for the first time. This is Kermiscross Ardooie. She then travels to the Czech Republic, where the World Cup finals are held on Sunday.
Van Enroge is number seven in the world ranking. I skipped my first two World Cup matches this season. They were both in the US and were too short for the World Cup on the road, which was held in Australia.
Senna Remijn from Wolphaartsdijk is also going to Tabor. He rides with the little guys. In recent weeks, he has already shown himself in the Belgian cycling races.
