keyboard app Gboard It offers much more than just the classic entry of letters, numbers and letters – because there are many special functions on board. They also want to be accommodated somewhere, so that the list has become increasingly full over the years. This will soon receive a material update which will bring a cleaner and more accessible interface.
Gboard consists not only of the classic keyboard but also many other interfaces and alternative functions that can be accessed via the menu. This has quick access to frequently used features like GIFs, stickers, or subtitles, but also less-used functions like one-handed use, settings, or a floating keyboard. The latest update now provides this component with the Material You interface.
Users now have the option to add another button for quick access, so that up to five functions can be placed next to each other. To call up all the other options there is the new More menu, which then opens an interface with the menu. As can be seen from the screenshots above, the buttons are now given a slightly lighter background so they stand out more.
The new design is currently only visible to beta users, but should be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.
