Haas will announce before the last Grand Prix of the season who will drive the car alongside Kevin Magnussen in 2023. Team boss Gunther Steiner announced this in a conversation with Cars, motorcycles and sports.
Haas remains the only team that has yet to sign both drivers for 2023. Mick Schumacher will still represent the team this year, but due to the mixed performance the German’s position is under heavy pressure. Steiner doesn’t leave much behind, except that it has been selected Abu Dhabi who will take the seat next to Kevin Magnussen.

Haast is suspicious of Schumacher for his many mistakes. “Schumacher missed thirty to forty points,” said Steiner. Schumacher also had bad luck during the US Grand Prix, he damaged his car due to the crash of Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso. According to the head of the team, it was possible to score double points. “It was possible to score with two drivers. That was great for us.”
Schumacher is still calm
Despite the tremendous pressure, Mick Schumacher himself remains calm amid the uncertainty. “I have to keep doing my job. It’s not always hard for me to ask about it, that’s part of my job. I have to show it on the track, it’s the only thing I can control.”
