Jamie Koenratz was coach of the Leuven women's team for five seasons. “I received the message that above all we should create a structure of the highest standard in Belgium and I think we have done it well,” says the Hallein resident with satisfaction. “We can also advertise at international level how we have worked in recent years. We have taken players to major foreign competitions and made huge strides in youth football. Next season we will have a hundred players in our youth team. This club is ready to achieve more in Women's football.
Now the Coenraets choose an adventure in the United States. He will become an assistant coach for the Utah Royals, a club in the strongest women's league in the world. “This train passed and I had to jump on it. It is a beautiful and very good step for me, because I live from challenges,” says Koenratz. “It was not easy for me to choose to leave the club. “I regret saying goodbye without a trophy, because it remains a void in my time at the club.”
A second regional member departs with the Coenraets at OH Leuven Dames. The club also says goodbye to midfielder Marie Detroyer. The 20-year-old Delpexi moves to Italian club Inter Milan.
