As passionate news hunters, we scour the world for quality and trends in fashion, relationships, beauty, design, health, travel, career, science and much more. We then share our discoveries in our own unique way through all our media and events. At the company level, like Hearst Netherlands, we also have the stories and messages needed to tell our target groups. For example, about our strategic path, our digital innovations, our (cultural) projects, our advertising activities and many more great events. This is why we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Manager who will help us develop and implement communication strategies and implementation plans that lead to effective internal and external communication. The main objective of this new role is to ensure that our target groups are continuously engaged and informed about our organization and our sector and to increase our internal and external visibility and reach.
What will you do?
This role primarily focuses on corporate communications at the Hearst level in which you can:
– Preparing communication strategy, policy and plans
Provides advice on communication and public relations issues
– Implementation and control of the institutional home style
Develop and coordinate internal and external communication activities in relation to Hearst Netherlands (corporate, B2C, B2E and B2B)
– Develop and implement content evaluation
Conducting oral and written communications – and messages through various channels
– Hearst projects communications support
Sponsor and develop external and internal communications and press releases regarding news and facts and the Hearst-wide launch of trade journals and other media channels
Acting as the first point of contact for the press and public relations agency
Hearst Netherlands spokespersons support the press and stakeholders and occasionally speak for themselves.
Building and maintaining an internal and external network (including journalists, trade magazines, etc.)
Responsible for the Hearst website, Hearst Intranet and the company’s social media channels.
– Coordination of Hearst’s extensive and employee events
Defining and managing annual budgets
Who are you, who are you?
For this role you will have the following:
Appropriate education, such as communication or journalism at HBO or WO . level
An extranet of professional journalists and media outlets
– Affinity with our field/media
– At least 5 years experience in a similar position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (NL/ENG)
Text writing skills for internal and external communication
Knowledge of digital marketing tactics (eg email marketing and social media)

Role:
The position is full-time 36 hours or a minimum of 4 days (28.8 hours).
