Oscar 2022 broadcast: Here you will find the films
On Sunday, the 2022 Academy Awards were given in the US, the largest film awards available. Were there any movies you haven’t seen yet? Then you can watch it tonight. The advantage of many different streaming services is that all Oscar winners can be watched instantly.
CODA (Apple TV Plus)
Winner: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor
And this year’s Academy Award for Best Picture went to CODA. The film is about a teenage girl who has a passion for singing, but doubts whether she should pursue her dream as it leaves her deaf family in trouble. This is the first time that a film from the streaming service has won an Oscar for Best Picture.
Watching the movie CODA is a little more difficult than watching the other movies on this list. The movie can be watched on Apple TV Plus and Apple does not have an Android app for this streaming service. If you want to watch via your Android device, you can do so via a web browser and this link. You can then watch the movie for free during a trial period.
King Richard (HBO Max)
Winner: Best Actor (Will Smith)
Will Smith rose to prominence at the Academy Awards primarily for his beating up of comedian Chris Rock. Soon, it turned out that Smith received an Academy Award for his role in King Richard. The film revolves around the Williams sisters and their father, who trained them to become some of the best tennis players in the world.

Tami Fey Eyes (Disney Plus)
Winner: Best Actress, Best Makeup and Hair
Jessica Chastain won the Academy Award for Best Actress of the Year for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Fay. The film tells the story of successful American television preacher Tami Fay, whose empire is falling apart after all sorts of scandals.
Encanto (Disney Plus)
Winner: Best Animated Feature
Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” performance during the Oscars was very disappointing. So you better just watch the movie. Inkanto is about a magical family, where everyone has a special supernatural power. Except for the main character, Mirabel. However she is the only one who can save their magic. A cheerful and colorful movie full of great songs.
Dog Power (Netflix)
Winner: Best Director
You may know director Jane Campion from The Piano or the Top of the Lake series. In her latest film The Power of the Dog, Campion once again shows how good she is. The movie is about a cowboy with a secret that makes life miserable for his new brother’s wife. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst, among others.
Dune (HBO Max)
Winner: Best Visual Effects, Best Music, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design
Dune takes home no fewer than six Oscars, including for Best Visual Effects. That’s right, because this sci-fi movie is fun to watch in every take. The movie is about a planet filled with a valuable commodity. A family is sent there to rule the planet, but they are soon betrayed. The son and the mother ran away.

West Side Story (Disney Plus)
Winner: Best Supporting Actress
In 1962, actress Rita Moreno won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie West Side Story. Actress Ariana Debus won the same Academy Award this year for the same role in the film’s remake. Steven Spielberg movie is about rival gangs in New York.
Summer Soul (Disney Plus)
Winner: Best Documentary
This documentary tells the story of the Harlem Cultural Festival, also known as “Black Woodstock”. With pictures full of swing music that has never been shown before. Starring Nina Simone, BB King, Stevie Wonder and others.
Cruella (Disney Plus)
Winner: Best Costume Design
You probably don’t watch a movie that fast because it has pretty costumes, but if you already have Disney Plus, you can also give Cruella a shot. The film tells the story of the villainous 101 Dalmatians. About a talented fashion designer who lives a difficult life.
