The Dutch Westfield Mall, a new shopping center in Leidschendamm, will open its doors on Thursday. The opening will not be delayed again – unlike October last year.
“We imagined the opening day very differently,” Bart van Toilert, Country Manager for the Netherlands at owner Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield told RTL Nieuws. Planned celebrations will be postponed to a later date. However, there are many opening promotions in the shopping center these days.
92 percent of retail properties are now leased. Here and there, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield had to offer some rental discounts. When the second halo wave ends, the damage will be assessed for each tenant of the last period and the amount of discount that will be awarded.

In the Gallery Mall of the Netherlands, Dutch jewelry brand Miccy opens its first store today. The brand occupies a building of one hundred square meters in the shopping center. Miccy was founded in 2012 and founded by Michel de Hogg. Miccy also has outlets in France, Italy, Ibiza, Brazil and Dubai.
